Jani Rad, Regional One

Some people are natural-born innovators, using their skills to drive change and impact industries in meaningful ways. As the Principal and CEO of Regional One Health Solutions, she has built a career at the intersection of public health, data analytics, and innovation—helping transform the way hospitals serve their communities.

On Episode #31 of Just Bluffin’, we explore how Jani Rad is revolutionizing healthcare through data-driven decision-making, improving hospital efficiency, and expanding Regional One Health’s impact beyond Memphis.

Regional One Health is Memphis’s safety-net hospital, ensuring that no patient is turned away regardless of insurance status or financial means. Under Jani’s leadership, Regional One Health Solutions is bringing the hospital’s innovative practices to institutions nationwide. By leveraging data analytics, the organization is improving patient outcomes, reducing hospital-acquired harm events, and streamlining clinical operations. “We took what we were doing internally and asked, ‘Why can’t other hospitals do this, too?’” Jani explains. That question led to the creation of a company dedicated to sharing these solutions on a national scale.

One of the most significant advancements under Jani’s leadership is the development of digital dashboards that provide hospital leaders with real-time data to make informed decisions. These tools have contributed to a measurable decrease in patient length of stay, improved financial efficiency, and better patient care outcomes. “Having access to data allows healthcare organizations to move from reactive to proactive decision-making,” Jani emphasizes. “It’s a game-changer.”

Jani’s work extends beyond Memphis, as she travels across the country to share Regional One Health’s success stories and collaborate with other healthcare leaders. By bringing these innovative solutions to more hospitals, she is helping to redefine how healthcare institutions operate and improve the quality of care nationwide.

For Jani, Memphis is more than just home—it’s a hub for healthcare transformation. Through her leadership at Regional One Health Solutions, she is proving that data, innovation, and a commitment to patient care can drive meaningful change in communities far beyond the Mid-South.

When asked about her favorite Memphis memory, Jani recalls introducing her now-husband to the city through a day packed with all her favorite things—block parties on Mud Island, a 901 FC soccer game, and a rooftop picnic overlooking the Mighty Lights show. “I had to sell Memphis as the best city in the world,” she laughs. It worked. That day solidified their love for the city, and Memphis has been home ever since.
