Content Kindler

Mackenzie was born and raised in Memphis, with a passion for making connections and helping others. A graduate of the University of Memphis with a degree in Public Relations and Social Media Marketing, she joined Campfire Collective in 2022 as a social media Content Kindler. In that role, she worked on several award-winning campaigns, bringing a fresh and energetic perspective to our social media management services. In her current role as Team Wayfinder, Mackenzie helps create and implement marketing and social media strategies for current clients, assists in onboarding new clients, and manages internal team operations. In addition, she oversees the training and development of new team members, interns, and student group partnerships with local schools and universities.

While at the University of Memphis, Mackenzie held leadership positions with several student organizations. As the Executive Director of Blue Crew, she served on the University Traditions Task Force, an exclusive board tasked with increasing student participation, implementing new traditions, and impressing fans and alumni. Mackenzie was responsible for developing and implementing the huge banner that now flies up a zone of the student section after every Tiger touchdown. A leader of the university’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Coalition, she worked to organize the 7th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes. She also served as the director of Meeman 901 Strategies, a student-run agency that works to promote local nonprofits and businesses, like Sonny Flower Company.

With a commitment to serving the Memphis community, Mackenzie serves as an ambassador to the Greater Memphis Chamber, cultivating, promoting, and maintaining positive relationships among the membership and the community. She was also recently appointed to the board of the Public Relations Society of America – Memphis Chapter as Communications Chair, where she will work to implement social media and newsletter strategies and foster strong connections with other business professionals.

In her free time, she enjoys taking her dog Zeta to Shelby Farms Park. Their favorite spot to run and play is Beaver Lake. Mackenzie also enjoys movie night with friends at home, discovering new music, and exploring new eats around Memphis. When with family, she enjoys hiking in Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park, visiting the Tennessee River, and game nights.

Fun fact: Mackenzie waits all day to be at the barricade at Beale Street Music Festival each year. One year, she was invited on stage with Juicy J!
